Thank You For Coming: Play

In these vibrant, multi-disciplinary works, Driscoll proposes performance as shared political act, where performer and audience co-create reality. Thank You For Coming: Play, the second part in choreographer Faye Driscoll’s Thank You For Coming series focuses on the consumption and fabrication of stories to make our lives cohere. The choreography for Play will be made through lingering in the gaps and glitches (physically and vocally) between what we say versus what we do.  Thank You For Coming: Play will lay bare the dichotomous experience of self and the performance of self; of being among and being alone; of communion and alienation.

Play premiered in September 2016 at the Wexner Center for the Arts.
