In her first work with Unusual Symptoms, the American Choreographer Faye Driscoll has developed a ritual of touch in which six dancers radically approach each other. Calving, the breaking off of larger masses of ice from the edge of a glacier, serves as a visual metaphor for the slow interlocking of six bodies. Just like the boundaries between the bodies, Driscoll's new work also blurs the space between stage and audience, between choreography, sound and sculpture. This develops into an evening that activates all the senses and invites them to re-experience their relationship with other bodies.

Faye Driscoll is known for works that place complex demands on the senses and make the audience aware of their own involvement in the action. Her productions in the USA have been shown at festivals such as the Venice Biennale, Festival d'Automne à Paris and the Melbourne Festival. Together with Unusual Symptoms, Faye Driscoll has now produced a new piece in Europe for the first time.
